The principle of sustainability in Halmahera Jaya Ferronickel (HJF) operations is not merely a saying or following the trend, but it is our value to contribute in the area of economic, social, environmental, to comply with applicable laws and regulations, and to uphold safety aspects in every activity. We are committed to performing the best practices in every operational activity.
In delivering its commitments, HJF refers to the Sustainability Framework, which is also applied in all Harita Nickel business units. There are three pillars of references including climate change, human rights, and governance.
All sustainability framework initiatives are outlined into a 5-year road map. In 2022, we will focus on compliance, namely increasing the understanding of all stakeholders and aligning company policies with sustainable corporate governance.
In 2024 we will focus on strategy, namely integrating initiative Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) with business strategies, internalizing ESG policies at every level of the business processes, and collaborating on company governance referring to national and global standards. Furthermore, in 2025 with an integration target, the company will build strategic partnerships through an investment approach and company operational excellence for gaining social and environmental impacts.
